Elegant FlavorJan 12, 2007

Do you remember the honey you ate from honeycombs as a child? This honey has a very natural consistency and a purity reminiscent of days gone by. The delicious lavender blossom flavor is delicate and heady when blended with tea. One teaspoon for the tea, one for me. There is always the desire to put this in my tea, but also the desire to taste the amazing flavor of the honey each time I use it in cooking or tea.
Miel de Lavande adds an elegant flavor to many dishes and to drinks in the summer. If you enjoy orange blossom honey, this is even more delicious. Lavender honey is a precious gift from Provence and an affordable luxury in which to indulge now and then.
This honey is especially delicious in an evening cup of Sleepytime Extra tea. You then enter the territory of an aromatherapy experience. Miel de Lavende is also delicious with raspberry tea.

QUALITY OF THIS HONEY NOT CONSISTENTMar 09, 2010

"LAVENDER LOVER"
I had received a jar of this lavender honey for this past Christmas and it was so good, I could not wait to order another jar. When I received the new jar, I opened it right away to smell the aroma of the lavender in the honey and to my horror, the honey wasn't honey. I looked like some kind of spread. It was not fluid at all, it was hard as a paste. The taste was off also. I wrote to complain but never heard a word about it. This honey is not inexpensive. For the money it should always be good. Was it the very cold weather that ruined it or was it already like that when it was shipped from France? I won't be ordering this item anymore.

Not pleased!Feb 14, 2011

I received my tiny jar of honey and was disappointed in not only the size, but the packaging. The jar & label look NOTHING like the photo. What I received was a jar that stands 3-1/4" tall and is 2-1/2" in diameter. The label and jar style resemble something like a tiny jar of salsa you would find on the shelf in your grocery store. There is NOTHING about this product that looks "gourmet" and for the price, almost $25 including shipping I was expecting something a bit more "French" looking.
The product inside the ugly tiny jar was the consistency of dishwashing liquid. I bought this product for my French boyfriend to be eaten with some very French Madeleine's to remind him of home and it wasn't thick or sticky enough to stay ON the delicate cookie/cake. As a true Frenchman, he was less than impressed and I was embarrassed.
Overall, this product is not as good as it should have been for the high, inflated price. Also, if you are going to use a post office box to ship in, please ship post office as they are cheaper and faster.
