You have to love Dijon mustard to love this mayonnaiseJul 05, 2010
By K. Cronberg I bought this brand because it was recommended by Nourishing Traditions author Sally Fallon. It's got too much Dijon mustard taste for me - that's not what I think of when I think of mayo. Another brand that follows Fallon's guidelines is Wilderness Family Naturals mayonnaise - also has a mustard flavor, but not as strong.

By Joan Philip I have been buying this mayonnaise for at least ten years. The stuff makes my potato salad sublime. Great on fish too.

French Mayonnaise - Delouis FilsSep 09, 2007

I was disappointed to find sunflower oil in this mayonnaise, as I had ordered it based on a recommendation in the book "Eat Fat, Lose Fat," which advises to avoid sunflower oil. I e-mailed the author, who informed me that this mayonnaise had olive oil in it when the book was written.
As for taste, it's OK, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it. And my husband objects to the taste and the oolor, which don't match the Best Foods Mayonnaise he's used to.

I was recently in St. Barths in a gourmet food store and needed mayonnaise. All they had was the Delouis Fils so not wanting to make a stop at the local supermarket I decided to give it a try. Before adding it to my tuna I took a taste. It was so good I almost forgot the tuna and just ate it straight from the jar. Imagine my surprise to find it available through Amazon!
REAL mayonnaise like it's supposed to be madeFeb 19, 2012
By Johanna Navarro This is the best mayo on the market bar none. Made in the French fashion (after all, the French invented mayo), with oil, eggs, dijon, lemon, and vinegar. Worth every penny.
