It's about time!Oct 15, 2010

I am SO thankful that Amora is available through the web...this mustard is absolutely the BEST!!! Like one of the other reviewers, we ration our Amora since we don't know when we'll be able to get to France to buy more. We'd load our suitcases with the stuff! One taste and you won't use anything else...

Amora: ne plus ultraApr 14, 2011
By Panmondiale Amora is to the French what Heinz ketchup is to Americans - a national institution and the preferred condiment of choice for everything from frites to you-name-it. I've enjoyed Amora mustard since I first tried it in Paris 30 years ago. I add it to everything: barbecue sauce, salad dressing (try a teaspoon of it in your Caesar dressing!), marinades, and by itself on lots of foods. Everyone I have ever shared it with raves about it, and now you can have it without having to go to France (or pay exorbitant shipping) to get it.
Many years ago, it was available in specialty and gourmet food shops, but when the original family-owned company changed hands some years ago (they were bought out by Maille, I believe, which was then bought out by an American company), there was apparently a trademark issue that prevented them from importing it directly to the United States. Like other reviewers, I packed it home by the case when I visited France and begged friends to bring some for me when they could. A few years ago I began buying their small jars by the case (to save on shipping costs) from an outfit in NYC; recently, though, a local Northwest company began offering the larger jars, and now one can buy it on Amazon.
Try a small jar if you're uncertain, or just plunge in and buy a big jar and enjoy it. And buy lots of little jars to give as gifts - any "foodie" you know will be grateful to have this! Yay, Amazon!

A must have.Dec 03, 2010
By Agb451 I'm not a huge mustard fan when it comes to vinegary tastes, but this mustard is just brillant. Really. It's perfect for dipping pretzles in, and it's great with cheese. Very strong, but has a great flavor.

By YYAYYA Finally I am able to buy a large jar (or several) online in USA. Carting jars to USA from France has become tedious. If you use Maille, you are short changing yourself. Try the real, pungent dijon....Amora
worth waiting for...Apr 20, 2011
By P. Hart I put myself on a wait list, didn't get notified but ended up finding the 1025g jar at the International Market on Park Ave. in Memphis TN. I'm not sure if it is worth waiting for or not but our friend is going to love us for finding it. I'm now curious but don't dare open the jar.
